The Galapagos Islands are home to the highest concentration of sharks in the world!
We bring divers to the best dive sites in the Galapagos Marine Reserve, which are only accessible by liveaboard. Year-round, divers experience the magic of schooling hammerheads, penguins, endemic marine iguanas, Galapagos sharks, large pods of dolphins, thick schools of skipjack and yellowfin tuna, bigeye jacks, mobula rays, silky sharks, white and blacktip sharks, and sea lions galore. You’ll also encounter chevron barracuda, snappers, rainbow runners, and wahoo.
In addition, the region boasts a variety of smaller fish, including creole wrasses, parrotfish, scrawled filefish, Pacific boxfish, and tiger snake eels. Regular sightings of mola mola (oceanic sunfish), seahorses, bullhead sharks, red-lipped batfish, various shrimp, and many other marine invertebrates further enhance the experience.
The incredible biodiversity of the Galapagos makes it a world-class diving destination, often considered the best dive location on the planet.
When To Go and Water Temperatures
Diving in the Galapagos is truly dynamic year round. Most divers plan their best-time-to-go around the water temperatures in the Galapagos.
Water Temperatures fluctuate through the year. Water temperatures are typically warmer in the northern islands at Wolf and Darwin and cooler in the western, southern, and central islands of Galapagos.
December-May: Wet season. Manta season. The water is warmer, clearer 65-80°F,18-27°C.
June-November: Dry season. Whale shark season. The water is cooler, 60-77°F,15-25°C.

What our guests say
See what our guests have to say about their unforgettable experiences aboard the Galapagos Sky!
This is the best experience I ever had in 18 years of diving! The crew of Galapagos Sky is amazing, they are super helpful. Our underwater Guides are the best, they know everything about the Dive spots, we feel safe, happy. Thankful about everything! This is the second experience with Galapagos Sky and we love it!!
The diving was phenomenal! The hammerhead sharks were fully moved into Wolf and Darwin. Every dive was filled with hundreds of hammerheads and Galapagos Sharks, on the reef – and we found the wall of them – thousands every day! We also had many, many – almost every day – whale shark encounters! Sometimes even 3 during 1 dive! And I’m not exaggerating!Â
The trip could not have gone any better. The boat was very nice, very comfortable and very well looked after. The crew were very friendly and constantly looking after us. The guides were the best I have had while diving. They were knowledgeable and treated us very well. Food was great. Galapagos is beautiful and untouched just like I imagined.
Galapagos Sky was everything I had hoped for and more. All the crew were kind, courteous and professional at all times. Safety while diving was always a priority. The diving was magnificent and Galapagos a showcase of marine conservation.
